BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY
While audio-streaming devices such as wireless headphones use Bluetooth Classic to connect to your phone, devices such as smartwatches and fitness trackers use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). BLE connected devices allow frequent data sharing while consuming very little energy. That allows rechargeable devices such as smartwatches to last days instead of hours before needing to be charged.
Initial pairing of our smartwatches and fitness trackers must be done using our app. You should not use your phone's native Bluetooth settings to pair your smartwatch. If you have paired to your phone using native Bluetooth settings and not the app, please go into your settings and forget / unpair the device. Then open the app, tap the watch icon and choose to connect a device (after pairing through the app, you will see it on your list of connected devices).
BLUETOOTH RANGE
Our smartwatches are designed to extend about 10 meters (roughly 30 feet) from your device, using BLE, but this range can be farther or shorter depending on the environment (walls, radio interference, etc.), as well as the antenna and power of the connected phone.
